In 2012 thanks to the idea of Francesco Lazzarini, launched the project the remake a historical race, pointing the march of the eight doors. The race in the 1970’s in Assisi during the Feast of Roaster.
The competition is a bout to touch the famous monuments and squares in town , the eight doors around the historical wall of the old town. Porta Nuova, Porta Cappuccini, Porta Perlici, Porta s: Giacomo, Porta . S. Francesco, Porta S. Pietro, and Porta Mojano, those were and are historical arch in Assisi which the partecipated runners will have the priviledge to touch them.
The 7 km race starting point and finish line Piazza del Comune (Municipality Square), where inside the these community halls: Sala della Pinacoteca, sala delle Volte will be used as registration hall and the prizegiving, etc.
The race is held in the evening so the runners will have a unique experience with magical atmosphere.
This march of eight doors is a real emotional race beside the competitiveness, there is also excitement of knowing the ancient town of Assisi, include both female and male runners including some of the famous athletic athlete such as: Riccardo Passeri, Laura Biagetti, Paola Salvatori, ed atleti del calibro internazionale come Ana Nanu, Hicam Boufarase, e Tarik Marnahoi.
This is the 6th edition anticipated by the people who has been training themselves the whole summer.
